Wine events try to “bloom” in spring, literally. And as communicated by the Merano Tourist Office, in conjunction with the “Merano Flower Festival”, scheduled from 28 to 30 May, a sort of “preview” of the “Merano Wine Festival” (whose edition “Full” is scheduled from 5 to 9 November 2021, ed).
“It will be“ Naturae et Purae ”, an event dedicated to sustainability, which will appeal to a selected audience, reads a note – and will consist of a sensory journey through the aromas and scents of nature, combined with the purity of the wine.
In compliance with the anti Covid-19 legislation, the following rules will be respected: 5 square meters per person (producer, visitor, service staff), maximum 250 people per session, table length of at least 5 meters, space between one table and another minimum 1 meter, maximum 3 people for table management, 3 visitors per table with a minimum distance of 1 meter between them “.
According to the general calendar, there should be four distinct moments: “Campania Felix – Blanc de Blanc”, which will consist of a presentation and tasting of wine products typical of the various areas and areas of Campania, with a focus on white wines; “Cult Enologist”, with presentations and tastings of the best wines of 12-15 internationally renowned cult winemakers, with products selected from 100 wineries; “Catwalk Rosè”, dedicated to rosé wines and bubbles; the digital “Think Tank” on the sustainability of the wine sector, with the participation of Universities and Institutions.
All in attendance, but nothing certain, however: from the rumors learned by WineNews, the organization of the Merano Wine Festival of “The WineHunter” Helmuth Köcher has not yet sent official communications, as the real feasibility of the event is still being verified ( that much will depend on the trend of infections and the relative “color” that Alto Adige will have in the next few days).
