Wine collecting knows no crisis, and enthusiasts are always on the hunt for bargains that often come from auctions. Which resume their march after the summer break, also in Italy, with “Fine and collectible wines”, which will be auctioned on September 26, in Milan, by the Il Ponte auction house, with a selection of great labels, especially Supertuscan and Bordeaux, Italy and France.
Among the Italian top lots by estimate of quotation, those with 12 bottles of Sassicaia from Tenuta San Guido stand out, one of the 1986 vintage, between 1,400 and 1,600 euros, and one from 1997, quoted between 1,300 and 1,400 euros. , despite not perfect labels, but also the one from bottles of Primus 2003 by Rocca di Frassinello, quoted between 1,600 and 1,800 euros, and interesting are also the lots of old vintages, even in large formats, of Barolo Sperss by Angelo Gaja, by Tignanello Antinori, Ornellaia, Barolo Riserva di Borgogno from 1931 and more. But the absolute top lot is the two-bottle one of Meo-Camuzet’s 1993 Richebourg Grand Cru (which starts at 3,300 euros).
