Strengthening the link between Langhe and Monferrato Unesco heritage, putting together forces and resources to evolve and grow on the markets: this is the agreement, yet another merger and acquisitions of these weeks in the world of wine, which sees the historic Cantine Coppo di Canelli, 52 hectares strong in the areas of Canelli, Agliano Terme, Castelnuovo Calcea, Gavi and up to Barolo, in the Langhe, and its cellars in the “Underground Cathedrals” of Canelli, a Unesco World Heritage Site, enter under the aegis of the Dosio Group, a reality Piedmontese led by Gianfranco Lanci, one of the most important managers in the world in the IT sector (former president and CEO of the Acer group, now president and Coo of the Lenovo group), and which has 42 hectares of owned vineyards extending from the Langhe in Monferrato, in addition to the La Morra winery, on the Serradenari hill.
From today, therefore, the Dosio Group becomes the “parent company” of Cantine Coppo (the figures and terms of the partnership reserved, ed), but things will continue in the sign of continuity, given that, a note explains, Roberto Coppo remains responsible for production part of Cantine Coppo, Paolo Coppo and his son Luigi Coppo remain responsible for the commercial part, while Roberto and Luigi Coppo will also be part of the Board of Directors of the Dosio group:
