It is certainly not the first time that the world of comics meets that of wine, but doing it between the rows, in the middle of the harvest, in a feast of the senses, has a completely different flavor. It is called “Vendemmie Disegnate”, and is signed by “VinComics”, a festival conceived by an original community of authors and designers from the Disney and Bonelli universes, that is the cornerstones of Italian comics, convinced that every wine hides a story to tell, made of organoleptic characteristics, history and culture, obviously through comics and graphic novels. The appointment is for 11 September, in Vernazza, in the heart of the Cinque Terre, where six cartoonists (Fabio Celoni, Paolo De Lorenzi, Francesco D’Ippolito, Andrea Freccero, Mattia Surroz and Stefano Zanchi) will tell, or rather they will draw, the grape harvest between two vineyards overlooking the sea of the Cinque Terre, involving 24 grape harvesters.
Before starting, there will be a moment of training and introduction to the harvest, a work that is anything but trivial, to which the harvesters will dedicate themselves for a day together with the comic artists, who will create customized illustrations for each of them, a unique memory that will immortalize the experience of the harvest. Which, in the evening, will be celebrated by tasting dishes and wines together with fellow adventurers, winemakers and designers. And then, from the next event signed “VinComics”, for each grape harvester a case of wine produced with the grapes harvested at “Vendemmie Disegnate” will be available, with the drawings of Fabio Celoni, Paolo De Lorenzi, Francesco D’Ippolito, Andrea on the label. Freccero, Mattia Surroz and Stefano Zanchi.
