The fight against the pandemic has begun, the vaccination campaign is slowly restoring normality, but to return to enjoy every freedom, and therefore to travel safely around the world, or to celebrate wines and territories without worrying about distances and masks, we still have to wait. In fact, some important appointment returns to enliven the calendar of events, obviously starting with “Opera Wine” by “Wine Spectator” (June 19), an anthological edition with the 200 wineries that, in 10 years, have participated at least once, icons of Italian wine in the world. Different but understandable choice, that of the Franciacorta Festival which, after having traveled all over Italy and having touched the most important international cities, from London to New York, from Munich to Tokyo, from Zurich to Edinburgh, for the first time becomes digital and global.
Throughout the month of June, a series of events will take shape on various digital and social platforms that will reach industry experts and wine enthusiasts all over the world for insights and curiosities about Franciacorta. It starts on 7 June with an in-depth seminar in English on Franciacorta Satèn, Rosé and Dosaggio Zero, dedicated to wine professionals. Starting from 9 June, every Monday and Wednesday May Matta-Aliah, Franciacorta ambassador in the USA, will interview various Franciacorta producers live on Facebook talking about history, biodiversity and the different types of Franciacorta.
As for the Italian wine lovers, every Tuesday of the month there will be direct Instagram with Nicola Bonera, already the best Sommelier in Italy, who will dialogue with important food experts – Chiara Maci, Gnambox and Lorenzo Biagiarelli – to find the best combinations, while on June 17 we will talk about history with the live Instagram presentation of the book “The origins of Franciacorta in the Italian Renaissance”. And then there will be events dedicated to the American, German and Japanese markets, organized in collaboration with local Sommelier associations and with the Franciacorta Ambassadors.
