Listening to it, it looks like the plot of a movie. And, in fact, to bring Miroslav Lekes, a Czech pharmaceutical entrepreneur with an immoderate passion for wine, to the hills of the Langhe, it was a film: “Under the Tuscan Sun”. In the end, the sun became that of Piedmont, where he decided to invest in 2011, looking for properties for sale … on Yahoo.
Réva
(which, in Czech, means “bunch of grapes”), in Monforte d’Alba, was thus born, in 2012, to become a property of 35 hectares, of which 23 are vineyards, in crus such as Ravera, Lazzarito and the legendary Cannubi. A real “agricultural organism”, which combined viticulture with the hospitality of a wine-resort and the starred cuisine of Fre, led by executive chef Francesco Marchese and in the galaxy of Yannick Allenò (three Michelin stars in Paris, with “Pavillon Ledoyen, ed).
An ecosystem in continuous growth and evolution, always in balance with the surrounding environment, but with a straight and open look into the future. As recount, ten years after his birth, Miroslav Lekes’ latest investments in Réva. First of all, the purchase of 15 hectares of vineyards in Roddino (outside the Barolo production area, ed) to work, right now, land that has ideal climates and exposures for tomorrow. Then, the purchase of one hectare in Cerretta, in the municipality of Serralunga d’Alba, an investment that aims to further implement and integrate the Barolo range with a new cru.
