New agreement between Foody-Sogemi and Confagricoltura to promote Italian agri-food excellence.

Sogemi – Management Company of Foody Mercato Agroalimentare Milano – and Confagricoltura – Organization of representation and protection of agricultural entrepreneurs – have signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at enhancing and promoting Italian agri-food excellences within the Foody District.

Foody and Confagricoltura in fact aim to establish a stable and lasting collaboration capable of supporting the precious Italian agri-food heritage.

The parties, by signing the Protocol, undertake to promote Italian agri-food production in the Milanese wholesale markets managed by Sogemi through the implementation of commercial activities.

The agreement aims to create an intense path of activities and actions in order to promote the excellent agroalimntari. In particular:

  • develop promotional initiatives for the benefit of Italian regional agri-food excellence;
  • favor the implementation of innovative methods of promotion, including the product basket formula, evaluating the adoption of recognizable and scalable formats;
  • rcarry out direct marketing of products, taking advantage of the opportunities provided to the sector by regional, national and community planning;
  • evaluate sales proposals on market-place platforms jointly managed by Sogemi and by the associated companies present on the market as well as by those specialized in home delivery of agri-food products;
  • organize periodic visits of the regional delegations at the Milan Agri-food Market.

The President of SogeMi Cesare Ferrero, always active on the promotion of “his” Foody comments:

“The signing of the agreement with Confagricoltura represents a precious reinforcement in Foody’s development path. The bond of the market with the world of Lombard and Italian agricultural production must be increasingly solid and continuous.

Foody must represent a natural outlet market for agricultural entrepreneurs who want to promote a production of excellence and quality. “

The President of Confagricoltura, Massimiliano Giansanti:

“The agreement opens up a great opportunity for the agricultural sector, brings production closer to the market and represents a further step forward in the relations between agricultural entrepreneurs and the sales sector. The market is an important reality and Foody with Sogemi foreshadows very ambitious scenarios in the national and European context “.

The Memorandum of Understanding signed by Foody – Mercato Agroalimentare Milano and Confagricoltura, is part of the Foody 2025 development framework.

It thus aims to make Foody Mercato Agroalimentare Milan a fundamental pole of attraction for Italian and international companies and professionals in the agri-food chain as well as a reference point for the tradition and excellence of “Made in Italy” in the world.

An important strengthening for Confagricoltura which thus consolidates its aims of supporting and promoting Italian agricultural production.

After all, this protocol is not unique in its kind: less than a month ago another signed with the Veronese markets: Sogemi is Veronamercato, the management company of the Verona agri-food center, have signed a memorandum of understanding in order to develop joint initiatives to increase the competitive potential of both companies.
