The first of the Galeotte Dinners in Volterra, 2019 edition.

To inaugurate this year’s Cene Galeotte evening cycle, on Friday 5 April will be Fabio Barbaglini, talented Lombard chef who will lead the galley kitchen brigade.

The protagonist of Italian catering for over twenty years, after numerous experiences also lived abroad is since 2018 Executive Chef at La Ménagère and at FOOO – Florence Out Of Ordinary in Florence , rooms in which he carries out two different concepts of contemporary cuisine:

  • the enhancement of the naturalness of the products e
  • in particular at FOOO, the discovery of certified supply chains for a representation of raw materials in their purest form.

To accompany the menu created for the evening will be theand labels offered by the Tenuta di Valgiano di Lucca, renowned exponent of the Tuscan wine scene that continues the tradition that since the beginning of the initiative also sees large wineries as protagonists of the galley evenings.

The galley dinners they all have a beneficial purpose: in this house, the recipient of the evening, the DYNAMO CAMP in Limestre (PT), born in 2007 and the only Italian recreational therapy facility designed to house minors whose lives are compromised by the disease; a camp designed for children suffering from serious and chronic diseases, mainly oncohematological, neurological and diabetes. The mission is to offer these children a period of fun and entertainment free of charge and to help develop their confidence in their abilities and potential. Dynamo Camp also offers programs designed specifically for the entire family unit and, since 2012, sessions entirely dedicated to healthy brothers and sisters (Sibling camp) in the awareness that the disease does not affect only the sick child, but the whole family. Participation in the Camp offers them an opportunity to compare themselves with other similar experiences and to live carefree moments away from the chores of everyday life.

In short, an all-round galley dinner: flavors behind bars that give off well-being and well-being.
